Our Story
Hank, Harlow and Hudson came into our lives in 2021 and were coincidentally all born within a week of each other. Hudson was always in our plans, because my husband’s side of the family have had Weimaraners as pets for over 20 years, however the other two were a total surprise.
What make’s Hank, Harlow and Hudson so special is that the two little ones were born with very distinctive tails. Hank’s tail is shaped like a lightning bolt and Harlow’s is about half the size of any other Dachshund. We think this is what makes them perfect just the way they are, and is how we tell them apart as they’re both from the same litter.
Hudson has a unique shaped white patch on his chest, which is also his superpower that makes him stand out amongst all other dogs; as well as his handsomeness.
Hank
Hank is our little angel who absolutely loves to go for walks and genuinely wants to work for his treats. He is dainty, pretty yet handsome, and extremely agile, who can easily outrun Harlow. We call him our little athlete.
Harlow
Harlow is quite literally the boss. He makes the rules whilst everyone else just follows them. He has an obsessive personality, particularly when it comes to balls. Harlow is persistent, incredibly smart and the most loveable out of all 3 of them, as he loves to cuddle during nap times.
Hudson
Hudson is one of the most loyal, gentle and goofy dogs you will ever meet. He is also scared of his own shadow and is very particular about who he engages with during playtime, which is a result of his timidness. Hudson actually likes humans more than other dogs, apart from his own breed. He is very protective over his brothers, so if you come for Harlow or Hank, you can bet Hudson will be there trying to scare them off with his goofy smile.
Our Brand Story
Every single card is created with love and care, and are of course inspired by Hank, Harlow and Hudson. What makes these handmade products unique, is that no two cards will ever be identical. I pride myself on being a perfectionist, but I am also very conscious of waste and being as sustainable as possible.
I live by the motto “waste not, want not” so if materials are left over from one design, these are always used for another. All my cards and envelopes are 100% recyclable, apart from some of the embellishments, with most of the envelopes being made in the UAE using recycled paper. So please remember to recycle your card if you don’t keep them. Sustainability is incredibly important to me and a lifestyle I have adopted for many years.
Whilst greeting cards may not seem very sustainable to some, they are still very much a tradition, and many of us treasure the cards we get from our loved ones to look back on over the years.
I am hoping to expand Greetings by Hank in the future, once we have a bit of a following, so watch this space and look out for us in a retail store near you!
